A GLOBAL AFFAIR: Discussing Film Production Without Borders

In early November, one of the most interesting filmmaker events of the year was held at Threshold Entertainment in Santa Monica, California.

Cloud 21 International (www.cloud21.com) and Kultura PR International (www.kulturapr.com) presented the fifth Annual Production Without Borders Showcase.

The highlight of the afternoon was a panel featuring Eileen Tasca (Italian producer, Cannes Jury Prize Winner for EO), Golsa Sarabi (Iranian-American actress/producer, Dreams I Never Had, Back In The No), Larry Kasanoff (Mortal Kombat, Terminator 2), and Michel Shane (21 Miles in Malibu, Catch Me If You Can).

Colin Costello of Reel 360, an industry news outlet, acted as moderator. He has a way with words, and his writing has attracted the attention of Spike Lee, with whom he helped launch an ad agency, and of Michael Bay, Dr. Maya Angelou, Tim Burton, Disney, ABC, and Netflix.

The panelists’ conversation centered around the topic of “Production Without Borders” and addressed issues such as how to work efficiently with team members from other cultures, using real-life events as inspiration for films, and what types of movies appeal to audiences around the world.

Afterwards, the deeply respected industry professionals who had been part of the panel mingled with guests during a reception featuring lively discussions.

This extraordinary event had been announced by the always chic and professional Nicole Goesseringer Muj, founder of Kultura PR International, and by Gotham Chandna, a highly sought-after public relations and digital marketing expert.

Guests at the Production Without Borders event enjoyed delightful Charles & Company Tea, cookies from chef Ryan Rondeno, and innovative cocktails made with Yeni Raki, a distilled beverage derived from grapes, raisins, and aniseed. Other event partners included Dr. J's Natural and Kaiilani.

Heart Of Hollywood CEO Giovanna Salas was in attendance, along with Heart Of Hollywood Magazine editor Sandy Rodriguez.
