Your presence on TikTok has garnered widespread attention, thanks to your Southern drawl and infectious personality. How do you stay authentic and connect with your audience through social media, and what role do you believe authenticity plays in building a loyal following?

Being true to yourself on social media means sharing your real experiences, thoughts, and feelings within reason. It’s like having a good ol’ chat on the front porch with your friends, where you’re genuine and open. When you keep it real, folks appreciate it, and that builds a bond of trust. HowBeEver, EverBeHow, I always tell folks I will tell you the truth, but I might not tell you my truth. It’s like sweet tea on a hot day — refreshing and irresistible. It’s the foundation for a loyal following, like folks gathering ‘round for a good story at a funeral fish fry.

As the founder and CEO of Fat Boyz Kitchen LA and Body Sold Separately, what are some of the challenges you’ve faced along the way, and how have you overcome them to build a successful brand?

As the founder and CEO of Fat Boyz Kitchen LA and Body Sold Separately, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges. One of the biggest hurdles was establishing credibility and gaining traction in a competitive market. To overcome this, I focused on delivering top-notch quality and service with a Louisiana Churchy Southern Flare , earning positive reviews, online traction, and word-of-mouth referrals.

Another challenge was balancing the demands of running two businesses simultaneously. I tackled this by prioritizing tasks, delegating effectively, and staying organized with clear goals and timelines.

Additionally, navigating the ever-changing landscape of social media and digital marketing posed its own challenges. I stayed adaptable, continuously learning and evolving our strategies to stay relevant and engage with our audience effectively.

Overall, resilience, creativity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence have been instrumental in building both brands into successful ventures.

You’ve received public recognition from major brands and collaborated with known celebrities. How have these partnerships and collaborations helped propel your career and expand the reach of your brands.

Partnering with major brands and collaborating with celebrities has been instrumental in propelling my career and expanding the reach of my brands in several ways. Firstly, these partnerships lend credibility and visibility to my businesses, increasing brand awareness and attracting new customers.

Collaborating with celebrities provides access to their dedicated fan bases, allowing us to tap into new audiences and markets. Their endorsement also adds a level of trust and prestige to our brands, influencing consumer perceptions positively.

Furthermore, these partnerships often open doors to new opportunities, such as joint marketing campaigns, product placements, and media features, which further elevate our brands’ profiles and generate buzz.

However, regardless of the amount of money offered from brands or how big the opportunities from partnerships are, I’ve remained committed to maintaining humility and staying reachable to my audience. No matter the success or recognition, staying grounded and relatable to my audience is paramount. This authenticity ensures that I continue to foster genuine connections with my followers, ultimately strengthening brand loyalty and trust. My audience knows that I remain true to myself and to them, regardless of the opportunities that come my way.

Your commitment to community, connection, and legacy is evident in everything you do. How do you envision the Bailey legacy continuing to flourish in the years to come, and what legacy do you hope to leave behind through your work?

As for the Bailey legacy, I envision it continuing to flourish in the years to come through a steadfast commitment to these core values. I see the brand evolving to meet the changing needs and preferences of our audience while remaining true to our roots of authenticity and quality.

In the future, I hope to expand our impact beyond just business success. I aspire to leave behind a legacy of empowerment and inspiration, particularly within underserved communities. Whether through mentorship programs, philanthropic initiatives, or advocating for social change, I aim to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Ultimately, I hope that my work leaves a lasting impression of resilience, compassion, and possibility. I want to be remembered not only for the products and services I’ve offered but also for the lives touched and uplifted along the way. That, to me, would be the true measure of a meaningful legacy.

It is my prayer that after I die that my voice will echo through the ages.

As a motivational speaker, what message do you strive to convey to your audience, and how do you inspire others to pursue their passions and dreams?

As a motivational speaker, my focus is always on supporting and uplifting black and underserved communities. My message revolves around the power of perseverance, self-belief, and authenticity, aiming to inspire individuals within these communities to pursue their dreams relentlessly despite any challenges they may encounter. Through storytelling, practical advice, and genuine connection, I strive to ignite a sense of empowerment and possibility, reminding my audience of their inherent worth and potential for greatness. My goal is to empower individuals to take bold steps towards creating the life they envision, while emphasizing the importance of resilience and staying true to oneself, especially within marginalized communities.

Finally, what advice would you offer to aspiring chefs and entrepreneurs who are looking to make their mark in the culinary world and beyond?

To aspiring chefs and entrepreneurs looking to make their mark in the culinary world and beyond, I offer this advice: Stay true to your roots and your vision, no matter what. Don’t let anyone deter you from pursuing your passion, even if it means cooking soul food in a gourmet setting. I’ve faced criticism and stereotypes, with some even referring to my meals as “slave food.” But I refused to let that stop me. Instead, I embraced the challenge and turned it into an opportunity to showcase the richness and depth of soul food in a gourmet context.

My advice is to trust in your abilities, innovate fearlessly, and never compromise on quality. Build your brand with authenticity and integrity, and don’t be afraid to stand up for what you believe in. Surround yourself with a supportive network of mentors, peers, and allies who share your passion and values. And above all, never lose sight of why you started on this journey in the first place. With determination, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, you can carve out your own path and leave a lasting legacy in the culinary world and beyond.
