Christenelle Diroc on Art, Activism, and Ambassadorship: An Exclusive Interview with the Artist, and Advocate

By Tammy Reese

Join us as we dive into Christenelle Diroc’s journey from Romania to soon becoming an ambassador. Meet the artist, and advocate as he shares his story of resilience, purpose, and passion. Born in Buzau, Romania, Christenelle was handpicked by Saint Mother Teresa during the fall of communism, receiving care from her and her nuns before being adopted and brought to Syracuse, NY. Over the years, Christenelle has built a versatile career as an MC, actor, entrepreneur, and activist, working alongside iconic figures like Jadakiss, Tommy Chong, and B-Real. Now soon set to represent Romania as an ambassador, Christenelle speaks with us about his mission to inspire others, break cultural barriers, and use his platform for global impact.

Growing up in Buzau, Romania, and being cared for by Saint Mother Teresa and her nuns must have been a unique experience. How did that early connection influence you as a person?

It made me a person with so much energy today. At a young age, I was always filled with energy and happiness knowing something big was just ahead of me. I didn’t quite know what it was though I felt that I had to do something big. I’m so thankful for Saint Mother Teresa and her nuns for taking care of me and giving me the charm in me.

You’ve collaborated with prominent artists like Jadakiss, B-Real from Cypress Hill, and Tommy Chong, among others. How did you first get into the entertainment industry, and what have been some of your most memorable moments?

I first got into the entertainment industry by meeting people like Chinx, Frenchie (Bricksquad),Vince Gill, Reo Speedwagon, Brad Paisley, Fall Out Boy and 3 Doors Down. They always would make sure I left with knowing how much of an impact I had on them. As well as the energy that persisted. I always freestyle and made songs, but after hearing that gave me the courage to get my first feature. Frenchie (Bricksquad) and then Mike Jones. Then, I met Big Mike The Ruler in Connecticut. He put me in the room with Jadakiss, Styles P, Sheek Louch, Dave East and Juelz Santana. From there, “I had created my own lane “ in the words of Jadakiss.

The most memorable moments in my music career would be:

Being on Ms.Toi’s album, making Jadakiss jump and get HYPE like me at Quad Studios, dancing With Styles P and being called a King. Also, Sheek Louch saying my energy is unmatched, having Cassidy perform at my Birthday party with one of my favorite MC’s, having The friendships with all of the rappers that I have made music with, having Fabo and me go CRAZY, working with Mousequake, going state to state to perform and last but not least, all of the fans that encourage me and help me along the way.

Working with such a diverse range of talent must bring a lot of stories and learning experiences. What’s one of the most impactful lessons you’ve learned from these collaborations?

Do your homework (background research) on artists before you want to collaborate with them. Taking a loss is the worst feeling, especially hard earned money. There is a percentage of people who don’t want you to win or just want your money. I had to be careful. Not everyone knew me as a Gypsy, who likes to get around and know everyone. Some people don’t know that you know the people you’re connected to.

So keep the grass cut and always watch, even at your most comfortable moments. Collaborations are the key, but just make sure it fits and you can drive anywhere.

Congratulations on soon becoming Romania’s ambassador in 2025. How did this opportunity come about, and what does it mean to you?

Thank you so much! It came about from me hosting music concerts and events for the State of Senate and Prime Minister which was to save the water, earth and the land. Since I am Romanian, I was offered an amazing position.

It means the world to be able to speak for those who can’t. Also to help in any way possible. It’s a miracle since I was adopted from Romania and now I can help my country in any way.

Activism is clearly a significant part of your life. What causes are you most passionate about?

There are many causes I am most passionate about such as the truth of Turtle Island which is where people should have the right to know the truth about where we are today. I am as passionate about murdered Indigenous women and children, corruption in Child Protective Services(CPS), fracking And Chemtrails, the war on our people, the Oka crisis, the trail of truth, corruption in our government/law systems, and food poisoning.

What are some of your latest projects and what are some projects we can be on the lookout for?

Some of my latest projects are with Farrah Abraham from MTV’S Teen Mom, Max B, Danny Boone (Rehab) & 504 Fiend, Dakota Lopez — Albert, Pennzstation, B-Real (Cypress Hill), Tommy Chong (Cheech n Chong) a Song For My Daughter, Mirela Staring Sam Vincent, JAG, Professor Griff, Dj Grandmaster Supreme, Nadia Comaneci (Romanian Gymnast) Garry Chalk , Neddie Thompson and Johnni Blaze. I released an album called A Ruby King.

Something to be on the lookout for is a song’s coming with : Tupac, Tupac’s Cousin, Drake, JAG, Young Jeezy, Ms.Toi , Tabitha (Kutklose), Black C (RBL Posse), Bubba Sparxxx, Vita Baby, DB, D Money , Symba , DJ Lord Jazz (Lords of Underground), Steaknife, Tom Skeemask, BYG Kurse, Toyah ( Toyah Willcox 80’s artist), Laurie Beebe Lewis(Mama and Papas), Unkle Roc, Pennzstation, Dakota Albert Lopez, Tamra Cook and many more! My album is called Adopted and Found which comes out on 11/11/24. Followed by another album which is releasing on 12/12/24.

What advice do you have for aspiring artists looking to make an impact on a global scale?

I would say NEVER under any circumstances be afraid to speak or ask a question, especially if you see someone that knows what they are doing. Secondly, I will say stay persistent, consistency is the key, the more the better, keep coming, nothing is ever too much. Try not to critique yourself as much but if you do, it’s good and okay, we perfect. Connect with your cultural vibes and start away from your hometown. Being a hometown hero is nice, but a world hero is something the world is waiting for. Thirdly, study and it’s okay if you get 3 hours of sleep, get used to it. Tour life is FUN, But there is not alot of sleep.

Looking ahead, what are some goals you hope to achieve in the next few years, both personally and professionally?

My goals would be to bring world peace, world love, work appreciation, go gold on a song, become a millionaire to help my family and those in need, stop murdered Indigenous women and children, make music with everyone on my bucket list I haven’t yet, improve the injustice in child protective services, encourage more Sunday dinner’s and family gatherings. Help people become the artists they need to be while staying at the top of the mountain and accomplishing true serendipity.
