Heart Of Hollywood Magazine now has an international presence, but it is largely
produced in Los Angeles and our hearts break for anyone impacted by the fires. We
trust, however, that the city will heal and be rebuilt, because the people who live here
are resilient and strong.
In this issue, which we began to put together before any of the fires began, we highlight the Golden Globes, the first major awards show of the year, and probably the only one in L.A. that will be unaffected by the tragic events that caused so much destruction.
The evening of the Globes was magical. Upcoming awards shows might be more
somber, or invite viewers to reflect on what happened. The Oscars, for instance, will be
honoring frontline workers, who have been true heroes. Still, this is a celebration of
talent in film and we will be offering commentary on nominees, winners, and more on
Instagram at @heartofhollywoodmagazine.
Our cover model, accomplished voice actor Jordan Claire McCraw answered our
interview questions as she was preparing to evacuate her area of residence. As you
read about Jordan’s inspiring life story, you will find mentions of her global travel and
also her deep love for L.A.
I had been looking forward to The FitExpo, the largest fitness event on the West Coast.
I was happy that it went forward as planned this past weekend and attracted a huge
crowd.
A new preloved fashion boutique, Red Carpet Ready, is set to open soon. It is seeking
stylists who would like their work to be featured in-store, as well as influencers and
bloggers for collabs. We have all the details in this issue.
As we embrace the cooler days of winter, I’ve been cozying up to Netflix’s Cobra Kai.
The nostalgic series might be coming to an end, but the franchise, fortunately, never
dies. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for its future with a few more episodes and a film
slated for later this year.
Here’s to new beginnings and a year full of creativity and connection. Thank you for
being part of the Heart of Hollywood Magazine journey—we’re so glad you’re here.
Love,
Sandy Rodriguez, Editor, Heart Of Hollywood Magazine
