Just Wayne is releasing new upcoming hit, “Back at it” on March 11th

Dwayne Rushin also known as Just Wayne was recently nominated and given an award for the GIN Regional Artist Choice Christian Rap. Just Wayne is the artist behind the hits, “Broken Pieces,” “Lion's Den,” “Walking Testimony” among others. Just Wayne can be found on YouTube and Apple Music.
The 27-year-old Detroit Native shares answers to fans’ questions including things that have inspired him, motivated him, and encouraged him to pursue sharing his talents with the world by rapping gospel music and creating hit songs that have his fans coming back and anxiously awaiting his next song and move.
What made you decide to pursue Christian Rap?
I pursued Christian music because there was no one else around me that made it and my heart was always dedicated to following God in any way.
At what age did you start singing or rapping?
I started rapping at the age of 14. My family are the ones who influenced me to pick up a mic.
What are your career goals?
My career goals are to be global in every area of my life rather it’s acting, music, being a youth leader whatever it is I just want to make it global for God.

What's up Aaron, I try not to claim fears, but I do not like heights. Lol, I always end up in situations to deal with it.
What if any is your aim in your music?
My aim in music is to reach people that need Jesus and to make an impact in my community by bringing changes.
Do you have a favorite actor?
My favorite actor is Denzel Washington. I love the wisdom and knowledge he put into his movies.
Do you have a favorite bible verse?
Psalms 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
Do you have a favorite movie?
My favorite movie is The Equalizer 2.

What was it like being awarded for Christian Rap for GIN?
It's amazing! It's a feeling that can't be described. You can only say thank you, Jesus.
Do you have a favorite hobby?
My favorite hobby is writing. It's an escape from life.
Would you ever consider dating a fan?
Lol, to be honest, I have done that in the past and I do not recommend it.
What are your current goals or ambitions?
My current goals are to build my brand. I'm currently working on my clothing brand while doing music. I also want to branch off into acting more.
What’s something that would be important for other gospel musicians to know?
The most important thing that other Gospel Artists need to know is to not make our gifts a competition.
What’s something that you have rarely told anyone about yourself?
Something that I rarely tell people about me is that I can sing a little. Lol
What’s your biggest strength?
My biggest strength is never giving up on anything I start.
What’s your biggest weakness?
My biggest weakness can be overthinking sometimes. I am still learning and growing.
Do you have a role model or person you admire?
My role model would be my dad.
Do you have a favorite band or musician?
My favorite music artist is Trip Lee.
Describe the perfect day, how would the weather be and what would you be doing?
The perfect day would be a sunny day, mostly cloudy. The wind would blow but not enough to ruin the feel. I would beplaying basketball or just listening to good music.
Do you have any travel destinations?
I do not have any specific destination right now I just want to travel all over.
What’s your favorite food or drink?
My favorite food is any soul food.
What’s your favorite season? Why?
My favorite season is Fall and I was born on Thanksgiving.

What's up Johnathan? good question, I was going through a lot of personal problems and my life had shattered like never before. I was in a dark place for a long time, and I decided to put my pain into that song.
