Editor’s Letter
By Sandy Rodriguez
It’s time to stop saying, even in jest, that 2020 was the worst year ever. There is nothing to be gained by repeating that same old story, and not only because it’s unlikely that the world will experience any huge shift or modification from December 31st to January 1st.
To be sure, the COVID-19 issue had tremendous health, emotional and financial repercussions for many. But nothing is 100 percent terrible, 100 percent of the time. Surely you had some moments of joy this year, something to be thankful for, good luck in some area of your life.
Heart Of Hollywood, much like many companies in the entertainment business, was at risk of being shut down, but decided to keep moving forward, with a positive attitude. The company was fortunate enough to find a number of like-minded fashion design houses and creative people around the world. They all joined forces to offer audiences something truly unique.
Thus, they all took part in an interactive live TV experience designed by Heart Of Hollywood. BaroQco, a refined, glamorous jewelry brand from the Netherlands partnered with our multimedia company and, along with a wide array of fashion designers, showed their spectacular creations to a global audience.
The interactive live TV experience format was put to good use later in November, for the launch of my nonfiction book Choose to Prevail. This was, to be honest, one of the highlights of my lifetime—in 2020, no less! The launch featured remote and live speakers, original music, special themed drinks, giveaways and audience participation.
Although properly executing this type of event requires the hard work of a large team, the format has proven successful and has now become one of Heart Of Hollywood’s signature offerings for clients.
Think about anything good you may have experienced in 2020, be it regard to your entertainment career or anything else at all. Keep in mind that if good things, at least a few, did happen this year, it’s likely that there will be more of those in 2021. Walk boldly into January. Move forward.
