LaTisha Collier is a force to be reckoned with — an entrepreneur, television personality, and motivational speaker who is redefining success on her own terms. Known for her candid journey on WE TV’s Love After Lockup, LaTisha has leveraged her platform to inspire others, proving that resilience and determination can turn obstacles into stepping stones. As the Founder & CEO of Boss Tax and Accounting Services, she helps individuals and business owners across the country achieve financial empowerment. Now, as she prepares to release her autobiography, LaTisha is ready to share her full story — one of survival, perseverance, and triumph. Through her work, she continues to uplift women, encouraging them to own their narratives, embrace financial independence, and chase their dreams unapologetically.
You’ve been open about your personal journey, both on reality TV and beyond. How has sharing your story helped you connect with and uplift other women?
LaTisha: It’s helped other women who are defying the odds, back against the wall, criminal background to know you are not alone and you really can accomplish anything!
Writing an autobiography is a powerful way to reclaim your narrative. What do you hope readers, especially women, take away from your book?
LaTisha: My autobiography will show people who LaTisha really is. From my upbringing, life’s challenges and my hustle and fighting spirit.
Can you share a moment where you faced a major setback, and how did you turn it into a stepping stone?
LaTisha: My youngest daughter’s biological dad was very abusive, almost ending my life. I was isolated from my family, friends, and manipulated and belittled. I lost myself completely. I now recognize the signs of domestic violence and how it starts, and have vowed never to be in that situation again, and an advocate to help other women.
Financial independence has been a crucial aspect of women’s empowerment. What are some key financial principles you believe every woman should master?
LaTisha: Discipline. I’ve made ALOT of money, but seem to always be in a situation and look back like damn, where did all my money go. Money is easy to make but hard to keep without the proper discipline.
You are a CEO, a motivational speaker, and a mother. Many women struggle with balancing ambition and family life. How do you manage to excel in both, and what lessons can other women take from your journey?
LaTisha: I’m a mother first. So I make sure my babies are straight regardless, make sure my husband is supported, and then I make sure I’m good, or try to. It’s hard when you give everyone your all and don’t have much left for yourself (time, energy, etc) then do it all over again the next day. I’ve learned to try and have balance, which is what I’m working on. Take a self care day. Go to the spa, brunch with the girls or by yourself, enjoy yourself and set boundaries.
What additional information would you like us to know at this time?
LaTisha: Never give up. No matter what you are going through in life, keep going. Fight. Fight. Fight.
