Mary Brown, a talented filmmaker and photographer, has made a name for herself in the industry. Graduating from USC with a degree in Film Production, Mary's passion for storytelling led her to join IATSE Local 600 International Cinematographers Guild as a 1st Assistant Camera Person. Despite facing challenges like the recent strikes, Mary had the opportunity to work on projects like Sweetwater and Breakwater, showcasing her skills behind the camera.

In addition to her film work, Mary has been working on a captivating street photography book titled “People of LA”. With a keen eye for capturing people in their natural element, Mary's black and white photographs bring a classic and timeless feel to her work. She also finds inspiration in photographing the architectural beauty of the historic Whitley Heights neighborhood, aiming to preserve the city's rich architectural heritage.

Mary's time at USC has greatly influenced her creative pursuits, fueling her desire to merge her love for film and photography. Through her photography and collaborator husband W Chris Brown, also a USC graduate, Mary aims to capture the essence of Los Angeles and its diverse inhabitants, while also working to protect the city's architectural history. With her unique perspective and dedication to her craft, Mary is set to make a lasting impact in the industry with her upcoming book on Hollywood photography.
