Men Who Inspire: Fitness Trainer, and Podcast Host, PJ Cowan

We truly celebrate and honor those who make an impact by impacting the lives of others. Today we highlight PJ Cowan.

PJ Cowan has always been active from playing sports as a kid, (football, basketball, baseball, track & field) to going into the military right out of high school. When PJ got out of the military, he wanted a career that he was passionate about. Health and fitness were top of that list. It led him to be a personal trainer helping change people’s lives. Throughout his career, he’s done just that, change lives.

Fitness Trainer and Competitor is set to launch his podcast “Raw and Real Vet Talk” in March. PJ will openly and honestly speak on all those hard topics people are scared to speak about. You will hear about life in the Army, what it’s like to be a Divorced Dad, and being a child’s first teacher.

You will also learn why fitness became such a huge part of his life and why he enjoys training others. Raw and Real Vet Talk will feature guests from the Entertainment Industry, the Fitness Industry, Divorced Dads, Ex Veterans, and many more. PJ is giving others a platform to share their stories as well of difficult times and overcoming them. This defines empowerment and also is an opportunity for great conversation and a little debate.

Serving 8.5 years in the US Army and then learning how to be a civilian again, PJ learned a lot of hard truths. Finding balance in life for many can be difficult, but even more so after the army. He has taught himself that one of the most important things in life is finding a way to love yourself and do what makes you happy.

Tammy Reese began her career as a theater actress performing in 60 live stage shows a year with The Media Unit TV and Stage Production Company. She also directed the weekly live TV show Rough Times Live.

Eventually, she went to Empire State College to obtain her degree in media studies. After graduation, she did more theater and wrote and produced her own videos to spread awareness on social issues through the arts.
