Mexican Designer Gilberto Brizuela Unveiled His Exquisitely Tailored Collection During Paris Fashion Week

This past September, Mexican designer Gilberto Brizuela, celebrated for his exceptional craftsmanship, unveiled his Sous La Peau (Under the Skin) collection during Paris Fashion Week.

Embracing this incredible opportunity, Brizuela—the creative force behind the Sereno del Sordo brand—made a striking entrance at the chic Galerie Bourbon, showcasing his men’s collection, which features standout leather designs set to redefine modern fashion. His line boasts two- and three-piece suits, including both long and short pants, with intricate details in an array of colors ranging from deep blacks to vibrant contrasts, soft pastels, floral and rhinestone accents, metallics, and classic browns. Each piece is crafted with the precision and artistry of a true work of art, while the shoes, custom-made for the event, are crafted by talented artisans  from León, Guanajuato, Brizuela’s hometown.

“Sous La Peau is rooted in two core ideas. First, I believe that the most valuable aspects of a person lie beneath their skin—values, beliefs, spirit, principles, and heart. Our designs are like a shell that encases these intimate human qualities. The second principle draws from my heritage. Growing up in León, Guanajuato—a city known for its top-notch craftsmanship in leather goods—our brand embodies this tradition in its DNA,” Brizuela explains with pride. 

With a clear vision for his place in the world of fashion, Brizuela is making his dreams come true. His relentless pursuit of perfection and attention to detail, paired with a focus on elegance, has helped him break into the fashion capital and showcase Sereno del Sordo in Paris.

He describes the experience of presenting his collection as a profound moment that highlights Mexican design on a global stage. “My passion for fashion and this incredible honor have inspired me to create the best collection of my career. I want to elevate Mexican design to new heights,” says the 31-year-old designer.

At Sereno del Sordo, bespoke, artisanal tailoring is at the forefront. With this collection, Brizuela has firmly made his mark in Paris.
