Queen Elizabeth II passed away on Thursday at age 96. She reigned for 70 years, longer than any other monarch in British history.
Prince Charles, to be known from now on as King Charles III, is now set to take over.
The Queen was respected and loved by many around the globe. At Heart Of Hollywood, we feel it’s the right time to enjoy TV shows, films, and documentaries focusing on the Queen’s lengthy and interesting life. “The Queen”, starring Helen Mirren; “The Crown”, and “Queen Elizabeth: An Unlikely Queen” are all good starting points.
Our Heart of Hollywood Magazine Editor Sandy Rodriguez is an expert on the royals. She wrote a cover story on Princess Diana’s legacy as a style icon for Mexico’s Reforma newspaper following the fatal car incident. Sandy also translated Kate: A Biography by Marcia Moody from English to Spanish. This book offers a comprehensive look at Kate Middleton’s life before and after joining the Royal Family.
Sandy recommends watching a heartwarming video to remember Queen Elizabeth.
“On a personal level, the Queen was known for her distinctive hats, colorful wardrobe, and sense of humor. Her playful side can be seen in a sweet promo where she interacts with popular storybook and movie character Paddington Bear ( https://youtu.be/7UfiCa244XE ),” says Sandy.
Rest In Peace, Your Majesty.
